Change of plans

So, as I mentioned in my FAQ post, my schedule is somewhat erratic due to my bevy of health problems. This is why I’m always so nervous about setting publication dates for any of my books, because I’m always concerned that something will happen to throw my schedule off.

When I set the date for Cheerleaders From Planet X, I was honestly concerned about it, but I kept telling myself, “Hey, it worked for Different Worlds. You should be fine with this one.” So, of course, I’m not.

So, yes, I am pushing the publication date for Cheerleaders From Planet X back by a month. This time it actually wasn’t my health directly influencing it, but rather a side effect. Like I said in the FAQ post, my medical bills are just ever-so-slightly out of control, which means that when I can get freelance jobs, I have to take them. And this month, I got a surprising and unexpected upsurge in clients. I actually probably could still make the publication deadline at this point, but there was no way I was going to be able to get ARCs out in time for people to be able to read the book before release. So I talked to my publisher about it, and they agreed that giving myself (and any early readers) an extra buffer would be the best call at this point.

Thus: the new release date for Cheerleaders From Planet X is April 25! And this should be the firm release date this time, because like I said, I was really close to being able to make it on March 28. A whole extra month should be more than enough. *knocks on wood even harder than I did before*

And if you would like to maybe help out with my medical bills so that I can focus more on my writing without having to rely so heavily on freelance work, I do have a Patreon! Every month I share short stories and behind-the-scenes looks at my WIPs, so there’s always something new for you to read. 🙂

I’m sure no matter when it is released, Cheerleaders from Planet X will be worth the wait. 🙂
