Magic at Midnight ARCs going out today!

The proofing stage for Magic at Midnight is complete, which means the book is done! If you didn’t see the pictures I posted of the paperback proof on Instagram the other day:

The paperback is suuuuper pretty and the illustrations came our very nice! I’m excited for everyone to see it.

ARCs will be going out later today, once my body stops screaming at me long enough to let me approach my computer. This last week of proof review was tough on my body, and putting in all the corrections yesterday left me like 😵 Even after all these years, I’m still surprised by how hard small things that really don’t take that much physical effort can be on a chronically ill body. Like, come on, body. All I did was read a book and then copy 3 pages of corrections from a notebook into Word. Why are you acting like I ran a marathon? Considering the fact that it’s been almost 5 years and I still can’t process it, I’m probably going to be pissed off at my body for the next 50 years.

P.S. Status on New World is still as it was in my last post—I don’t think I’m going to know for sure whether I’m going to make it until the end of the month. 😅 It could go either way at this point. Like I said before, if it does get pushed back, we’re talking probably just a matter of a few weeks. I have a backup release date claimed with my publisher if need be so I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted when I know for certain. I’m not trying to GRRM you guys, I swear.
